By utilizing a specialized tool called BEHCA to track data and inform direct support staff, Sunbreak Society is able to tailor their interventions to meet the specific needs of each child. The data collected will inform on effective and ineffective strategies as well as the success of skill development; having TRUE data-informed plans and ongoing training that is 100% focused on the individuals needs and how they experience the world around them.

In addition to individualized support, Sunbreak Society also places a strong emphasis on training. The Sunbreak team has created an extensive initial and ongoing training program for all direct support staff and families, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively support individuals with challenging and complex needs. This training was designed with the input of families, the individuals themselves, and the intent to solve an ongoing concern within this field - lack of quality and meaningful training the optimally equips folks to go into homes and provide effective care.
